After leaving Lassen National Park, California on June 12, we zigged into McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park to see the falls. What’s unique about this waterfall is that it is fed by underground springs which create a skirting effect around the 129-foot drop. We could have easily driven past the park if it wasn't for a suggestion from our family in Rohnert Park.

After a long day of tree hugging in Sequoia National Park, we zagged our way into Clovis to spend time with our friends the Russell’s who had been former neighbors. It was nice of them to make time for us as they were in the last days of packing up to move to Idaho. Our hotel was located in the heart of oldtown Clovis.

Our time was up at our Sedona home, and on June 1 we drove the roller coaster elevation change drive to Henderson, Nevada just outside of Las Vegas. The following afternoon we drove to our next destination in Death Valley National Park, California, and stayed 3 nights at the newly reopened Oasis at Death Valley Inn.

We left Palm Springs, California on February 14th and drove about 80 miles west to Murrieta, California in the Temecula Valley. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment over a garage in the lovely quiet hills above Murrieta surrounded by horse country, avocado farms, and miles and miles of white rail fencing.
